The progressive injuries of chemical burns
would aggravate the wounds. And the absorption of toxin could affect
functions of all organs. MEBT combined with systemic support fit for
all kinds of chemical burns and could get predominant effects.
(1). Male, 34, sulfuric acid burn, 60%
TBSA (30% deep Ⅱ degree, 30% superficial Ⅲ degree). Eschars on wounds
appear black. Apply MEBO to protect the wounds.
(2). Clean wounds and redress every 4
hours with thickness less than 1mm to avoid further damage to wounds
from residual sulfuric acid. Liquefy necrotic tissues and promote
newborn skin to repair and heal.
(3). Wounds heal without scar and the
newborn skin appears normal with good elasticity. (71st
day postburn)
